Joining the StopGAP Team

Straight into the (very friendly) deep end of StopGAP Dance Company, back on a chilly February morning:
A whistle-stop tour around Farnham Maltings and then “Here’s your desk, and here’s the current schedule – it’s as up to date as it can be for now, but there’s additions and amendments all the time”. They weren’t kidding. Within an hour, I’d added in two workshops.
Four months on, I’m still getting my head around co-ordinating the vast amount of activity going on – the Trespass tour, the outdoor work, StopGAP youth groups, the apprentice company, ongoing school and college workshops, a team going to teach a module at uni, scheduling in whose turn it is to buy the chocolate biscuits, and all the other things in between.
And even after this short time, I’m so proud of the dancers, and the company, and what StopGAP stands for. Just hope I don’t leave my schedule on a train – I wouldn’t know what was happening next!
